Workshops are held within the stunning surroundings of The Old School Campsite, Shelve, Minsterley.
Advanced booking is essential. Max 6 people per workshop.
Minimum of 4 bookings required for the course to be able to run so why not bring along some friends!

What you will make
This workshop is designed to give a good introduction to basic silversmithing techniques. You will make a sterling silver bangle, with the opportunity to add details and textures using a hammer or other techniques. You will also create a charm of your choice in silver clay, so you can let your creativity go wild!
Ideal for
Complete beginners onwards. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 18s only.
What you will learn
The basics of jewellery making techniques such as annealing, shaping, saw piercing, filing, soldering and polishing, as well as the wonderful art of 3D design in silver clay.
What's included
All equipment and materials including sterling silver and silver clay to make your finished pieces, plus endless, tea, coffee and biscuits/nibbles!
What you should bring
Yourself, reading glasses or magnifying glasses if available and if you need extra magnification for close-up detail, plus a willingness to learn and have fun!
If you want to bring examples or inspiration please do so, but there are plenty of both here in the studio (surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire Hills).
For safety reasons please wear closed toed shoes, avoid loose clothing such as scarves and have long hair tied back.

Accommodation
If you need overnight accommodation, The Old School Campsite has a cute retro caravan that sleeps 1-2 people, glamping bell tents in the summer and camping pitches available for hire. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements. If camping or glamping isn't for you, there are lovely holiday cottages at 'Shelve Holidays' or a luxury cabin at 'Heather and Stone'.

Terms and Conditions for Jewellery Making Workshops
1. Booking and Availability
Price is per person.. Workshop bookings are subject to availability and must be made in advance through our website. We are unable to reserve or hold places for courses.
2. Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable
Once booked, workshop fees are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Bookings are transferable to another person, but must be notified in advance.
3. Booking Amendments
Changes to the workshop date may only be made with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability. Cancellations or amendments made with less than 14 days’ notice may result in the forfeiture of the workshop fee.
4. No-Show Policy
Failure to attend a scheduled workshop without prior notice will result in the booking being void, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.
5. Workshop Cancellations
In the unlikely event that the workshop is cancelled by the organiser due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
6. Age Restrictions
Participants must be at least 18 years old unless otherwise specified in the workshop details or agreed prior to booking.
7. Health and Safety
All participants are required to follow the health and safety guidelines provided during the workshop. The organiser reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who does not comply with these rules.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
The organiser reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the website.
